This was 2 years ago. Right now you were sitting in your room, chatting with the troll you've met on the island.
You remember that he got you out of there with his lusus. It was seahorse like, and had the ability to float or fly. Eridan appeared with this lusus after 5 days of an island life. He used to visit you every day,making sure that you were okay, even if he never told you. He tried to act like he doesn't care, but you surely knew he did. He always brought you fish after he saw you failing at fishing, and he took care of a campfire.  You two talked a lot, and you noticed that he likes to swear and rant. But somehow, you thought it was cute. You had the experience that, when people rant, they care.

After these 5 days of doing nothing, he visited you again, but this time with his flying lusus. The Seahorsedad gave you a suspicious when you first made eye contact with it, and took a deep sniff at you. It said something, but you wasn't sure if you understood correctly. If you did, he said something like "Stinky human!". But his watery accent was much stronger than Eridans. It seemed like his words came out in bubbles.
And after a long discussion, Eridan had lifted you on the back of the creature. You felt the warm and rough skin under your hands, right before you felt warmth of Eridans body behind you. You didn't know why, but you blushed as he wrapped his arms around your waist so he could reach the rein. You two didn't say a word while the seahorse lusus was floating over the ocean, with a goddamn high speed that made you feel cold and which let your eyes burn. But you didn't regret accepting the offer from the two alternian residents: after an hour of flying you came back to your home town near the coast.

You both then stayed in contact. He often visits you and you two do a lot of activities together. You became best friends, but you wished it would be different.

Since some time, you finally noticed you had a crush on him. Yes, you know he can be a total asshole that drives you really mad and crazy! But in the next moment he is so kind, handsome and caring. You loved him for being so careful about your feels. Everytime he yells at you because he got annoyed, he was so sorry and sad at the next moment. He doesn't have many friends as you know, but he at least cares for those who care for him.
So, you were chatting to him, your heart was beating stronger everytime he texts you. You also had a bright smile on your face when he told you such a bad joke that it was funny again. You then want to say good night, because it was already pretty late. But he stops you.

CA: wwhale

[tt]: C'mon Eridan, I am sleepy and tired and I am yawning like an idiot xD

[tt]: No no, now you have to tell me what you want. You made me curious! And you know me how I am when I am curious!

You made a cute "Awww!" noise and blushed deeply. You smiled at the screen and wished you could hug him.


CA: i nevver had such a stable moirallegiance for such a long time
CA: not evven wwith fef
CA: and evven if you disagree to lot of my plans
CA: my fantastic plans
CA: and evven if you can be annoyin like hell and try to givve me commands
CA: i still dont wwant to loose you

You buried your face into your hands. Why would he think that you want to end your great friendship? Maybe it was because of his past. He had experienced a lot disappointments, and he lost a lot friends. You were sure that especially the lost of his crush, this Feferi girl, had hurt him a lot.
Maybe it was your fault. Maybe you didn't treat him well. You sometimes tried to get his idea of his war plans out of his mind. Also his racist thoughts about lowbloods didn't make you happy at all, and you have tried to tell him that he was wrong. He often got mad when you started this topic, and you didn't like to speak about that, too. After all you two knew it would end in a fight.

You looked back to your screen and blicked a few times, trying to hold the tears back. Then you decided to leave him a message, even if you didn't know what you should write. For some minutes, you played with your [h/c] hair, like you usually do when you concentrate enough.

You then type the words that flows out of your mind

Eridan, you understood me completely wrong and left me shocked! D: I didn't mean it that way, I would never like to end our Moirallegiance! Well, I do, in some way, but I don't want to leave you!
Awww gog, it's so hard to explain! Listen. I never want to leave you, you're the bestest friend I ever had! And just like you said, I don't want to loose you! Even if you are an asshole sometimes. Even if you sometimes don't listen to me at all. Even if you are thinking so bad about lowbloods and landdwellers.
I am sorry for what I said. Yes, I wish we could get out of this friends zone, but not in a way that would seperate us.
Aww man, I sound like a whiny baby >.< I am sorry. I know how much you hate weak crying humans. I still don't want us to be broken

You sighed and stared at the text. It wasn't much, and maybe he would be even angrier. But you clicked on "Send" and hoped that everything will be okay.
When you go to bed you even left your laptop on, so you would hear if someone - hopefully Eridan - was pestering you. With sad thoughts of what could happen now, you lay down. After some minutes you were fast asleep.

In the middle of the night you woke up from an annoying sound. It was your pesterchum, letting you know that someone is writing to you. The sound appears again and again - the one who is texting you is spamming over and over. You go to your desk - half crawling, half stumbling because you were half asleep - and sit down.

But you were pretty awaken when you saw it was Eridan Ampora.

[tt]: You woke me up from a pretty nasty nightmare -.-* ...

[tt]: Well, 50/50. One half side of me is still sleeping in my warm and comfy bed while my other side is sitting on the cold chair and is writing to you
[tt]: And that half one here is also half asleep
[tt]: But I'll listen. So what's up?
CA: i got your message
[tt]: Oh... And... are you angry at me because of the stuff I said yesterday?
[tt]: I didn't want you to think that I want to end our relationship
CA: no im not angry but

You think it was because you were really tired. Otherwise you would never have sended this important sentence in the middle of the night, especially not when Eridan wasn't expecting this at all.

You blink a few times, but then jumped on your chair in shock. Did you really sended this message?! NOW?! Oh god, nonononono!

Uh-oh, he even doesn't use his typing quirk anymore. That means serious bullshit. You bang your head on your desk and wish you would die. Right now. This was so embarrassing! And mor eimportant: what would you two do with your relationship? You knew he don't love you. He hates everything you are: He hates landdwellers, you are a landweller. He hates lowbloods, and you are one because of your red human blood. He hates human for being weird and weak, and you are a weak human. A human that can't fight at all, a human that cannot think strategically like him and a human that is interested in music and art, not in military heroes or the best strategies in wars. Not like him.

You hear the sound of pesterchum, but you weren't able to look up. You don't want to see the masacre on the screen. the hating words of the one you love. You don't want to see how you are loosing the most precious one to you, the best friend you ever had.
You just wanted to sit there, listen to the annoying noises by pesterchum, and suffer.
